Now If Only I Can Find The Lock

Sometimes I wake unaware of where I am,
who I am, or what I’m supposed to be.
Groggy half-conscious whispers ferry expectations
and doubts as I slip from dream to dream.
But the dream I’m in is not the dream I desire
and, therefore, not the illusion it seams.
For accepting a reality called “awake”
renders me solitary as I hold the key.
