Depression Soap

Apparently, when I’m depressed, I buy Frozen Frosted Berry Scented Moisturizing Hand Soap.

So what do you do?

  1. Aww 😦 usually when I am depressed I listen to the appropriate music- depressing music.
    :p
..and crying of course and isolation.
    Oh the joys.
    Sending my support and love,
    Faatima x x

    1. Thanks. πŸ™‚

I used to listen to sad music when I was depressed, but now I do the opposite. I listen to happy music or music that sounds sad but has positive lyrics to it, such as the Jennifer Lopez song “Feel The Light.”

But when I’m not in the mood for music, I watch something funny; a movie like Galaxy Quest or episodes of a funny TV show. That tends to help.

The isolation helps too. Sometimes, I feel like depression is my mind telling me that I need to be alone so I can recharge myself. There’s nothing wrong with having some alone time.

      Thank you again! πŸ™‚

  2. I typically wallow. lol Sometimes I go see a movie. Sometimes I sleep. It really depends on the situation. Most often I just blog about my issues. Maybe something over on my site will help? I like what Ive seen so far over here. Your “follow” button prompt made me chuckle. Looking forward to reading more of your material! Hang in there!

    1. Don’t worry about me. Depression is normal for me. In fact, if too much time went by without my feeling depressed, I would think something’s wrong. Haha.

Thank you for the Follow and the comment. I appreciate it! πŸ™‚

  3. I try to get outdoors as much as possible — sunlight and physical activity don’t completely take the weight off my shoulders, but they do make it a little easier to bear. Sending you lots of good wishes. You aren’t alone. πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you. πŸ™‚

That’s something I do as well. When I feel a wave of depression coming on, I start walking and keep walking until I either feel like stopping somewhere or I start singing the Brady Bunch song:

“I think I’ll go for a walk outside now.
The summer sun’s calling my name.
      I hear you now.
I just can’t stay inside all day
I gotta get out and get me some of those rays…”

I’m strange like that. Thanks again. πŸ™‚

  4. This is adorable though. I hope you’re able to find genuine joy in the littlest of things in life, just like this.

When I’m depressed, I lose myself within the things I love. Whethor it’s writing, music, singing, video editing, or just laughing at any little nonsense. Everything is easier when you let yourself just smile.

And I wish you all the best and more on the pursuit of happiness, all the love.

    1. That’s what I do. Like when I got this soap, I was walking around when I felt like looking around a store. I saw this on sale for $1, squeaked, “OMG! Frozen!” and then started singing:

“Let it go! Let it go!
I don’t know the lyrics to this song.
Let it go! Let it go!
Putting words where they don’t belong.”

Someday, I’ll know how the song goes, but for now, it’s funnier to not know.

Thank you for the well wishes. Love back at you. πŸ™‚

  5. I always manage to convince myself that I’m a huge screw up and basically a worthless human being. The I get distracted by work and blow through it or if I’m off I go for a long drive and try to find something beautiful to look at and photograph. They I can look at it and say, “I’m not perfect, but this is and I will enjoy it.”

You’re funny even when sad . I admire your approach. I’m feeling much the same. I may buy some soap πŸ˜‰ β™‘β™‘β™‘

    1. Well, you know, no one likes a mean drunk just as no one likes a sad sad. So a funny sad is what I be. πŸ™‚

And hey, when you’re feeling down, feel free to contact me and say, “Hey.” And then I’ll say, “Hey,” back. And then you can ask, “What kind of soap did you most recently buy?” And then I’ll tell you so that you can buy some and be a happy sad too.

  7. I think when I’m depressed… Typically about depressing things like my life and my “situation” and my “reason in earth.” Y’know just the norm… Sorry you’re feeling depressed. Praying for you!
