Apart

Apart,
we are complete
but not.
Together,
we are complete
but are.

I lay awake,
her breathing
a rhythmic reminder.
Love
so close to me,
so far from me.

Does she dream of me?
Dream of two hearts
melding as one.
And when not one,
crave for each other.

Does she wait for me?

Will I wait for her?

She is my one love.
There is no waiting.
There is only with
or without her,
for there is only her.
