What is the night sky
but an amount of empty space
of which we can speak
while never truly grasping?
And if everything has
a companion opposite,
then is it not logical
that an opposite of this dark
infinite space
exists as a vast universe
of light?
And how do we describe God
if not as eternal light?
And so can we now see how God
is invisible to us while existing
in a most obvious form
of which we can speak
while never truly grasping,
and how the Hell we inhabit
is this universe,
the dark opposite of God,
and how when we come here,
we are invisible to who we are
and forget who we are,
and how darkness is a veil
that covers our memory
of why we came here
in the first place,
and how the reason we are here
is to learn why we would come here
in the first place,
and how death is nothing more
than a return to the light,
and how because life here is
finite
then it stands to reason
that life there is
infinite?
What is the day sky
but an amount of empty space
serving as a sunlit attempt
to push us into remembrance?
Well said Gabriel. Indeed God provides us daily with such reminders of his eternal light. Here’s a pic of last night’s sunset that reminded me of this https://freedomthroughempowerment.wordpress.com/2015/12/09/a-glimpse-of-heaven/
I thought you’d enjoy this particular poem. I’m glad you did. π
By the way, that’s a wonderful pic of a sunset you got there. π
Thank you. π
