Taking the Clown Out of Finn

A couple of years ago, I wrote a blog post concerning what I referred to as The Tragedy of FN-2187. In that post, I talk about the poor execution of the character Finn in the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy. In the first of my Taking the Mary Sue Out of Rey videos, I touched on how to take a bit of the clown out of Finn’s character and portray him as more heroic rather than more comical. In my latest video, I focus on Finn’s clownish behavior throughout Star Wars: The Force Awakens and how to alter certain scenes to show better care for Finn’s character. One alteration in the below video comes in the form of rewriting a scene between Han and Finn and acting it out myself, exposing myself as both a bad actor and bad impressionist. If you have the stomach to listen to me completely embarrass myself, just check out the video below.

Hope you enjoy! 🙂
